| Austin Inc. Compass to your car might help in a pinch; Dellionaire puts estate up for sale Compiled from staff reports Friday, September 17, 2004 Compass to your car may help in a pinch Having trouble finding your car in the parking lot? Physicists Slav and Tatiana Lagai from Lancetta Inc. had you in mind when they designed the C-Car, a key chain device that helps locate even a tiny Mini Cooper squeezed between two massive Hummers. The device works like a compass: Point the device toward your destination, turn a rotating wheel so the halves of the picture of an automobile line up. To find your car, turn yourself until the two halves line up and you can head off toward your parked car. The Austin-based company warns that to maintain the accuracy of the device, the user should stay away from big, metallic structures such as, well, big cars. But used properly, the C-Car can help you find an unlimited range of inanimate objects. Lancetta hopes to sell up to 1 million key chains each year to retailers and organizations that want to use them as marketing tools, said Michael Romanies, marketing consultant for Lancetta. The suggested retail price is $4.95. http://www.statesman.com/business/content/auto/epaper/editions/friday/business_14a4c8c55667023300e2.html
