...See car with C-Car. Two physicists walk into a bar, and when they
walk out, they are able to find their car!
No, that's the punch line. Two Austin physicists, Slav and Tatiana Lagui,
have invented a device to help consumers find their cars.
So everyone who does not drive a recognizable car like a Hummer or Ferrari
can discern their Accord from the hundreds of others at the parking lot
in the mall.
C-Car uses magnets to point you in the direction where you last left your
car, which could come in handy at a sports event or concert.
The device, marketed under the name C-Car is sold through Austin-based
Lancetta Inc. on its Web site at (www.lancetta-inc.com) and eBay. The
key-chain device costs $4.95 and works using magnets, so needs no batteries.
However, the magnets use the metal contents of the car to work its magic,
so carrying a pocketknife, or having a steel plate in your body will interfere
with the car-finding miracle.
