When complience or wireless engineers perform broadband RF testing with regular broadband antennas, they may not receive an accurate spectrum... if the tested product fails or requires troubleshooting or EMI service, accurate spectral measurements might be needed to find the nature of the unwanted radiation.

The right tool or procedure could be prohibitively expensive.

Auto Tunable Resonant Dipole could solve the problem:
......................................................................................
The simplest version of the Auto Tunable Resonant Dipole is the one that consists of ON/OFF switching sub-elements - an array of FET (Field-Effect Transistors). When the operating signal is applied to such elements, they become either conductive or non-conductive for the electrical current. Therefore, the tuning of the dipole element length could be replaced with the equivalent conductive element that switches on and off with typical SMOS logic speed - 20ns.

Potential market could be estimated in $50-150 Million in the next 5 years and could include such segments as EMC/EMI business departments; government regulation agencies, military, R&D facilities, calibration and test service providers and etc. who could be interested in simple and inexpensive equipment for precise measurement of RF spectrum components.
